Bangladesh to grab golden opportunity

Dhaka (Bangladesh) Nov 7: Bangladesh men's cricket team got a great opportunity to scribe a golden chapter in the annals of its history as they will seal an away series victory against India if they can beat the hosts in the second match of the three-match T20I series on Thursday.
Bangladesh landed the neighboring country against many odds and had very little to lose but as endorsed by their captain but a win in the opening game changed the scenario and Tigers now eye to gain holy grail, the rubber, in the shortest version against one of the best sides in the world.
This is the first time Bangladesh are playing a complete series in India comprising three T20Is and two Test matches and now Bangladesh can actually win the T20 series with two opportunities in their hand. The way Bangladesh have played, with much composed and positive attitude, in the first match, the feat seems to be on the card.
Bangladesh cricket were making wrong headlines in last two weeks prior to the series due to players dispute with the BCB over their 13- points demand. The board later accepted majority of the demand but the country's cricket was jolted with an even greater shock as their iconic all-rounder Shakib al Hasan, the Test and T20I, captain was handed a ban for failing to inform the approaches of match fixer to ICC's anti corruption unite.
Bangladesh also lost another talisman Tamim Iqbal as the southpaw ruled himself out from the series due to personal reason and under the circumstances Mahmudullah was given the captain's armbad.
But, against all the odds, in Delhi's tough condition, Bangladesh team pulled out a remarkable win that changed the tone of the series completely.
And now Bangladesh are in upper hand to achieve something which was unthinkable prior to the series.
And this is a golden chance for the Tigers as some of the regular players of India's set-up in the likes of skipper Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah are not playing the series. But that will not decrease the glory for Bangladesh if they manage to win the series considering the turmoil they were facing few days ago.
"If you consider thing, whatever we have gone through in Bangladesh cricket for last few weeks, a series win will be a big boost for the team and Bangladesh cricket. Tomorrow we have to play very god cricket to beat India. They are very good side at home and all across the world. We have to be on top from the first ball," Mahmduallah said.
But the skipper Mahmudullah knows that would not be an easy task. India have plenty of fire power in their ranks to win the remaining two games and Bangladesh need to play solid team game to achieve the feat.
"We know India will be desperate to win and so do we. India are very strong team in their home. In last 12 home series they have proven their strength and you can see their performance about how strong they are. But we have a big chance to make a mark in our cricketing history. We are playing a bi-lateral series in India for the first time in our cricket history. It will be a big achievement for us if we can win the series from here,"
Bangladesh will get another chance even if they fail today but the pumped-up captain seemed not thinking that and looked to determined to seal the deal with a match in hand and engrave himself with bright colours in the history of Bangladesh cricket.
